The Cisco 2600 series is an access router designed on the multiservice model. It offers multiple benefits like flexibility in LAN and WAN configurations, series of high performance processors and options for multi security arrangements. This series is wonderfully flexible as it can be upgraded for any possible network expansions later. This series is specifically intended for branch offices. Of late, there have been important additions to the Cisco series like Cisco 2691 Multiservice Platform and Cisco 2600 XM models.

The minimum individual stream rate is 100 KBPS while the maximum is 800 KBPS while the minimum throughput is 48 MBPS while the maximum being 52 MBPS.
